Our work in Africa includes:

  • Management of a multi-well completion and testing program in the Calub Field, Ethiopia, financed by the World Bank
  • Regional assessment of the hydrocarbon potential of eight countries in East Africa (EARHS) and delivery of country specific and regional synthesis reports funded by CIDA
  • Integrated basin assessments, onshore and offshore in Senegal and the Gambia, and provision of exploration and development services to assist the national oil authorities of both countries
  • Provision of drilling, completion and geological engineering services to the National Oil Company and Ministry in Senegal and The Gambia
  • Independent evaluation of offshore oil and gas fields and economic analysis, Gulf of Hamamet, Tunisia
  • Reserves determination and economic evaluation of the Karazhanbas heavy oil field, Kazakhstan
  • Independent assessment of concession blocks, Mozambique
  • Design, supervision and management of a horizontal drilling program in Libya
  • Evaluation, cost analysis, operations and logistics management of an exploratory drilling program in Mozambique
  • Advisory services provided over a four-year period to the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation including exploration, development and organizational support
  • An integrated multi-year program of 'on the job' assistance to East African National Oil Company specialists in exploration techniques, basin assessment, modeling and tectonics
  • Six month individualized programs focused on drilling and completions engineering for graduate personnel from North Africa
  • On the job assistance and training in exploration, exploitation and engineering for staff of the Ghana National Petroleum Company
  • Training needs assessments, institutional assessment and career development programs developed for Naftogas Training Center (Sonatrach) in Hassi Massaoud, Algeria
