John D. Harper, Ph.D., P.Geol.

Dr. Harper has extensive technical, operational, research and management experience involving exploration and exploitation assessments, and evaluation of hydrocarbon potential in onshore and offshore basins of Canada, US and internationally. Prior experience included domestic and international exploration assessments and technical studies with Shell Oil, Shell Canada, Trend Exploration and as a Consultant.

Dr. Harper is a leading authority on the Mesozoic and Paleozoic hydrocarbon potential of the Canadian East Coast and of the oil and gas basins of North Africa; and has developed an atlas of new play concepts in the western Canadian sedimentary basin. He is also President of Harper Consulting International Ltd. and Adjunct Professor of Petroleum Geology at Memorial University, Newfoundland.
